Privacy Policy

GhoVoTok is built on a foundation of anonymity. We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the platform:

• A chosen persona name and anonymous avatar (not your real identity)
• Device type and operating system version (for app compatibility)
• Usage metadata: session duration, feature interactions
• Content you post: voice GhoVos, text posts, poll responses
• Reaction and engagement data on content

We do not collect your real name, government ID, phone number, or any information that could identify you as a real individual.

Data is used exclusively to:

• Deliver and improve the GhoVoTok service
• Personalize your feed and content recommendations
• Enforce our Community Guidelines and prevent abuse
• Analyse aggregate platform usage (never individual surveillance)
• Communicate service updates if you opt in

We never sell your data to advertisers, data brokers, or third parties.

Anonymity is not a feature — it is the product. Our commitments:

• No real identity is stored at any point during registration or use
• Voice data processed through our morphing engine is not retained after processing
• Your persona cannot be linked back to a real-world identity by GhoVoTok staff
• IP addresses are masked and not stored in association with user accounts
• Location data is never collected beyond the country level (for content localisation only)

Content you post (GhoVos, text posts, polls) is retained for as long as your account exists or until you delete it. Upon account deletion, all associated content and metadata is permanently purged within 30 days.

Ephemeral content (Spaces recordings, where applicable) is deleted automatically within 24 hours of the session ending unless you explicitly save it.

We use a minimal set of third-party services to operate the platform. All partners are contractually required to uphold the same anonymity standards we maintain:

• Cloud infrastructure (servers and storage)
• Analytics (aggregate, anonymised only)
• Abuse detection tooling (no personal data shared)

No third party receives personally identifiable information from GhoVoTok.

GhoVoTok uses only essential cookies required for session management and security. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or cross-site tracking technologies.

You have the right to:

• Access the data associated with your account
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Export your content before deletion
• Opt out of any optional data processing
