The Ghovean Code
GhoVoTok exists so that real thoughts can travel freely — without fear, without judgement, without the baggage of identity. Anonymity is a gift. The Ghovean Code is how we protect it for everyone.
These guidelines are not a list of restrictions. They are the shared agreement that keeps this space worth existing.
What's Allowed
GhoVoTok is a place for:
- Honest, unfiltered personal expression
- Constructive debate and disagreement — the kind that challenges ideas, not people
- Creative voice content, storytelling, and art
- Support communities and spaces for sensitive topics (mental health, relationships, identity)
- Satire and humour, clearly framed as such
- Organising around shared interests, causes, and communities
What's Prohibited
The following will result in immediate enforcement action:
Harassment & Threats
Targeting an individual with repeated unwanted contact, threats of violence, or coordinated abuse campaigns. Anonymity does not make harassment acceptable.
Doxxing
Revealing or attempting to reveal the real-world identity, address, workplace, or personal information of any Ghovean or anyone else. This is an absolute prohibition — it undermines everything this platform stands for.
Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)
Zero tolerance. Any content that sexualises minors will be immediately removed, the account permanently banned, and the content reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement.
Spam & Manipulation
Automated posting, purchasing fake reactions, coordinated inauthentic behaviour, or any attempt to game the platform's systems.
Impersonation
Creating a persona designed to deceive others into believing you are a specific real person, public figure, or official GhoVoTok account.
Illegal Content
Content that facilitates illegal activity, including but not limited to: drug trafficking, weapon sales, financial fraud, or human trafficking.
Reporting
See something that violates these guidelines? Report it. Every GhoVo, Space, and profile has a report option. Reports are reviewed by our Trust & Safety team, who operate around the clock.

Enforcement
We apply a proportional enforcement model. Depending on severity and history:
- Warning — Content removed, user notified with explanation
- Temporary Suspension — Account locked for 24 hours to 30 days
- Permanent Ban — Account and associated personas removed for severe or repeated violations
Severe violations (CSAM, doxxing, credible violence threats) result in immediate permanent ban with no warning.
Appeals
If you believe an enforcement action was applied in error, you may appeal within 30 days of the decision by contacting ghovotok@gmail.com with the subject line "Appeal: [your anonymous handle]". We review all appeals and aim to respond within 5 business days.
We will not reverse decisions related to CSAM or credible safety threats under any circumstances.
