Child Safety Policy

Last updated: March 13, 2026

Our Commitment

GhoVoTok has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. Protecting minors is our highest safety priority. We are committed to preventing our platform from being used to exploit, endanger, or harm children in any way.

This policy applies to all content and behaviour on GhoVoTok, including voice GhoVos, text posts, direct messages, Spaces, Groups, and any other feature on the platform.

Prohibited Content & Behaviour

The following is strictly prohibited on GhoVoTok and will result in immediate account termination and reporting to the authorities:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — Any visual, audio, or text-based content that depicts, describes, or promotes the sexual abuse or exploitation of minors
  • Grooming — Any attempt to build a relationship with a minor for the purpose of sexual exploitation, including soliciting personal information, arranging meetings, or sending inappropriate content
  • Sextortion of minors — Threatening to share intimate or sexual content of a minor to coerce, blackmail, or extort them
  • Sexual solicitation of minors — Requesting sexual content, sexual acts, or sexual encounters from or involving anyone under 18 years of age
  • Trafficking of minors — Any content or behaviour that facilitates the trafficking or commercial sexual exploitation of children
  • Sexualisation of minors — Content that sexualises minors, including AI-generated or fictionalised depictions
  • Sharing of non-sexual intimate imagery of minors — Sharing images or recordings of minors without the consent of their parent or guardian in a context that could endanger them

Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years of age to use GhoVoTok. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent as outlined in our Terms & Conditions.

We reserve the right to terminate accounts of users who misrepresent their age, and we may take additional verification steps when we reasonably believe a user is underage.

Detection & Prevention

GhoVoTok employs multiple layers of protection to detect and prevent CSAE on our platform:

  • Automated systems that scan for and flag known CSAM using industry-standard hash-matching technology (e.g., PhotoDNA, CSAI Match)
  • AI-powered content moderation to detect previously unseen CSAE content, grooming behaviour, and suspicious interactions involving minors
  • Behavioural analysis to identify patterns consistent with predatory behaviour, including age-gap contact patterns and escalation indicators
  • Dedicated Trust & Safety team trained in CSAE detection, investigation, and response
  • Regular audits and updates to our detection systems to address evolving threats

Reporting CSAE Content

If you encounter any content or behaviour on GhoVoTok that you believe involves child sexual abuse or exploitation, please report it immediately using any of the following methods:

  • In-app reporting — Every GhoVo, Space, Group, profile, and message has a report option. Select "Child Safety" as the reason for your report
  • Email — Contact our Trust & Safety team directly at ghovotok@gmail.com with the subject line "Child Safety Report"

All reports related to child safety are treated as highest priority and are reviewed by our Trust & Safety team on an urgent basis.

You can also report CSAE directly to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline.

Enforcement Actions

When CSAE content or behaviour is detected or reported, we take the following actions:

  • Immediate removal — All identified CSAE content is removed from the platform immediately
  • Permanent ban — The offending account is permanently terminated with no option for appeal
  • Reporting to authorities — All confirmed CSAE content is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in compliance with applicable law, which then coordinates with law enforcement globally
  • Evidence preservation — Relevant data is preserved and provided to law enforcement upon valid legal process
  • Evasion prevention — We take measures to prevent banned users from creating new accounts

There are no warnings, second chances, or appeals for CSAE violations. This is an absolute, non-negotiable policy.

Cooperation with Authorities

GhoVoTok cooperates fully with law enforcement agencies investigating child exploitation. We:

  • File reports with NCMEC for all identified CSAM, as required by law
  • Respond to valid legal process (subpoenas, court orders, warrants) for data related to CSAE investigations
  • Proactively refer cases to law enforcement when we identify imminent threats to child safety
  • Participate in industry coalitions and working groups dedicated to combating online child exploitation
